The following key issues should be noted when operating a corrugated sheet forming machine, covering equipment debugging, process control, safety protection, and maintenance:
Equipment Inspection and Debugging
* Die Installation and Gap Adjustment: The die must be precisely installed according to the corrugated sheet specifications (e.g., corrugation height 25-55mm, corrugation pitch 125-200mm). The single-sided gap should be controlled at 0.03-0.1mm to reduce springback. Too small a gap can lead to sheet thinning or die damage, while too large a gap will result in significant springback.
Hydraulic System Pressure Calibration: The forming pressure needs to be monitored in real time by sensors. The proportional overflow valve should be adjusted according to the preset current-pressure curve to avoid overpressure or insufficient pressure.
Feeding and Positioning: The sheet material needs to be straightened by straightening rollers to eliminate internal stress. Photoelectric sensors control the feeding length to ensure flat and non-deviationing feeding.
Process Parameter Control
* Step-by-Step Forming Strategy: Complex corrugations need to be pressed in steps (e.g., pre-press the outline first, then final press) to avoid cracking or stress concentration caused by single-step forming.
Temperature and Speed Matching: Cold pressing processes require controlled springback. Hot bending processes (e.g., 4mm thick steel plates) can reduce springback, but excessive thinning in certain areas (e.g., not less than 3.5mm) must be prevented.
Material Compatibility: Stainless steel (304/316) or galvanized steel plates must be inspected for scratches. Excessive sulfur and phosphorus content can easily lead to cracking; plates with acceptable mechanical properties must be selected.
Safety Operating Procedures: Interlock Protection: The mold closing and feeding mechanisms must be interlocked to prevent accidental operation that could cause material clamping or mold damage if not reset.
Protective Measures: Warning signs should be placed in the operating area. The hydraulic system must be leak-proof. High-pressure components (e.g., high-frequency electrodes) must not be touched by hand.
Emergency Handling: Immediately stop the machine in case of material clamping or abnormal vibration. Preserve the site and troubleshoot the problem (e.g., mold misalignment, abnormal pressure).
Quality Control and Maintenance
Dimensional Inspection: The cross-sectional shape must be measured after every three plates are pressed, and the mold clearance adjusted. For bolt connections, the pre-tightening force must be checked using a torque wrench (e.g., 340 N·m ± 70 N·m).
Mold Maintenance: Regularly clean the vacuum channel, check bearing lubrication, and prevent module deformation. Weary blades or insulating materials must be replaced promptly.
Environmental Adaptability: In extremely cold regions, the content of powder and binder particles in the base material must be controlled (≤ standard value) to prevent frost heave from affecting molding accuracy.
