II. Structure and Operation
The main body of the Non-Powered Decoiler features a welded box-type construction. The mandrel employs a cantilevered expansion mechanism (comprising four segmental plates, dovetail slots, and radial guide rails), with a rear-mounted hydraulic cylinder driving a pull rod to actuate the expansion and contraction. An external support bearing is available as an optional accessory for the front end of the coil drum. Unlike motorized models, this non-powered uncoiler lacks an active drive unit; the coil drum shaft rotates freely on bearings. Consequently, the mandrel rotates passively only when the coiled material is pulled by external equipment. By incorporating a disc-brake-style damper, the uncoiling resistance can be adjusted to prevent the coiled material from unraveling or scattering.
